The Lonely Center Line

The Lonely Center Line
by: Sarah Rittenberry
As I look down the center line, I know that I'm alone.
No one cares
No one feels the pain I have inside.
It's very long when you walk the world alone
And you know deep inside you can't turn back.
You wonder what happened
To the promise of someone walking with you
And holding you to their side.
Regrets?
I have none, but
Deep inside only one...
Will I die all alone on that center line?
